Pattie Mallette, best known as Justin Bieber’s mother, has faced enormous hardships.
At just two years old, she lost her sister in a tragic accident.
“As a child, my life was very painful,” she once shared. After suffering years of abuse, at age 14 she turned to substance abuse and crime.
At 17, she became a single mother and raised Justin in low-income housing.
Due to her mental health issues, she attempted suicide and was hospitalized.
Later, she reunited with Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber.
Despite their past, Pattie and Justin bond over their shared passion for the arts.
