After a long work trip, Alice returns home intending to surprise her husband Luke and enjoy some quiet time together. Arriving in the middle of the night, she quietly slips into the bedroom… but when she sees a baby sleeping next to her husband, she freezes.
Confused and worried, she wakes him up and asks about the baby. Luke, visibly tired, promises to explain everything in the morning. The next day, Alice overhears a conversation in the living room: Luke talking to a young woman named Linda, who is holding the baby. He then explains to Alice that Linda is his sister.
Both were raised in adoptive families and reunited by chance. While waiting for the results of a DNA test to confirm their relationship, Linda, in the midst of an emergency, temporarily left her baby in Luke’s care. He decided not to worry Alice during his trip.
Shortly after, the test confirmed that Luke and Linda were indeed siblings. Alice, far from feeling betrayed, felt relief and joy. She accepted the baby as her own nephew, and Linda became an integral part of their lives.
