The death of Ivonne Daniela Latorre, a 24-year-old Colombian woman from Antioquia, continues to generate shock after new details were revealed about what happened during her trip to Egypt. Her friend and travel companion, Estefanía Bedoya, broke the silence and gave her version of events on the podcast Más Allá del Silencio (Beyond Silence), where she shared details that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic outcome.
On April 25, they visited the Giza pyramids and then attended the Zamna electronic music festival. During the event, they met a woman identified as Jessi Escobar, who, according to Estefanía, introduced them to two men nicknamed “the Serbian” and “the doctor.”
That same night, Jessi filmed them for a social media story and invited them to an after-party. The next day, Ivonne tried to contact Jessi about attending another event together, but she never arrived at the hotel as agreed. Still, the two friends took an Uber to attend the event, though the driver initially detoured.
At the scene, Jessi reappeared and, according to Bedoya, brought a drink laced with hallucinogens.
They also met a man nicknamed “the dealer,” who tried to help them enter the VIP area, but because they didn’t have the proper passes , they were removed. Jessi then returned to make drinks for them.
