As humans, we often consider happiness and what it takes to live a more fulfilling life. We believe that many material things would make us happy, but that usually isn\u2019t true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, if we want it, our joyfulness can be found in the simpler aspects of life. Adopting a dog in need is definitely one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are so many of them that are living on the streets and giving any one of them a chance can not only make their life so much better, but ours as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such was the case for Lily, a woman who noticed something strange outside of her house. When she realized it was a dog, she knew she had to do something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Rafael. He is a sweet stray dog who has lived a very rough life<\/strong> and has struggled to overcome his solitude for a long time, but to no avail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After many days of wandering, he tried to find at least somebody who would offer him a helping hand, but most people just ignored him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As time went by, he became more desperate and started to lose hope of ever finding a good family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, just as it looked like things were going to get worse, a kind woman saw Rafael\u2019s misfortune and rushed to help him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she spotted him through the window, Lily immediately bolted outside and rushed to check on this adorable pup.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon examining him, she found that he was really sick and injured. He desperately needed medical attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lily realized that he was already relaxed enough in her presence, and he allowed her to take him to a nearby clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She carefully picked him up and carried him all the way to the vet. After they arrived, the vet thoroughly examined the dog <\/strong>and did what she could to treat his wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it will take time to heal, Rafael was in no immediate danger. This meant that Lily could take him home where she could care for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continuously watched over him and made sure he was getting absolutely the best care he deserved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With regular meals, medication, and warm baths, he was already starting to recover,<\/strong> and his fur was growing back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some time had passed, Rafael was also beginning to regain a lot of his weight. <\/strong>He regained his strength, and Lily was there to give him lots of cuddles and kisses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As she showered him with affection, he finally let his guard down, and it helped him realize that this amazing person only wanted to give him the chance he always needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more time in her care, Rafael no longer saw Lily as his rescuer, but as a friend. They became inseparable<\/strong> and did everything together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the beginning of their beautiful friendship. When Lily realized that she just loved him so much, she did not want to give him up, so she adopted Rafael.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just like that, his whole life changed in an instant. He went from nearly starving to living the most fulfilling life with a human companion who would give him the love and respect he deserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s in simple moments like this that we can truly understand why dogs can make us so happy and change our lives completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
