Firefighters are true heroes who can be counted on to save lives in an emergency, whether human or animal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, firefighters in Utah saved a dog from a burning apartment building, and in an incredible moment revived him using CPR.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early hours of September 16, an apartment building in Midvale, Utah caught fire. Firefighters from the Unified Fire Authority rushed to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After putting out the flames, they discovered that there was an unresponsive puppy inside a kennel in the home, according to\u00a0FOX 13. They raced into the building and got the dog outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a remarkable moment, the firefighters performed CPR on the dog \u2014 and miraculously, they were soon able to successfully resuscitate him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot all heroes wear capes sometimes they carry leashes,\u201d United Fire wrote on Instagram. \u201cMoments like these remind us how lucky we are to protect not only our community but also our furry family members. Grateful for the chance to save lives, human and animal alike.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many fire departments receive training on how to give CPR to animals, and have special equipment to provide them with oxygen. This extra preparation is life-saving when\u00a0animals become trapped in burning buildings\u00a0and suffer smoke inhalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people commented on the post thanking the firefighters for their actions. \u201cThank you guys for saving this sweet pups life. \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f Y\u2019all are heroes,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVery well done heroes!\u201d reads another comment. \u201cWe are grateful for having been blessed with firefighters,\u201d someone else wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FOX 13, the fire appears to have begun as a cooking fire. The apartment building has an estimate $100,000 in damages and residents have been displaced, but thankfully there have been no other reported injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank god for firefighters, who are always there to save the day. We\u2019re so glad this dog was rescued from the fire and revived with CPR!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
